my story

Hugh Boal is an innovative and experimental visual artist working across film, live sports broadcasting, and digital media. Displaying an artistry laced with an ardent enthusiasm for hip-hop culture and leading-edge technology, he devotes himself to breaking boundaries and triggering a cultural shift within the industry.

Hugh broke onto the scene in 2018, founding his media production company in early 2019 and building his early experience on music videos and fashion shoots across Europe — Vienna, Berlin, London, Paris, and Milan. In 2020, he refined and intensified his artistry at the New York Film Academy, applying the technicalities of film technique and movie language to a growing and increasingly ambitious body of work.

His path has taken him from grip work on the sets of Rambo 7 (Sylvester Stallone), Kung Fury 2 (Arnold Schwarzenegger & Michael Fassbender), and Netflix's Into the Night, to producing content for some of the world's largest YouTubers, to capturing multi-million-dollar real estate with a filmmaker's eye. He has since carried that same precision into live sports broadcasting on the national and international stage — the Ashes, international rugby and cricket, AFL, NRL, and NBL.

Bold and authentic in his commitment to visual storytelling, Hugh moves fluidly between disciplines without losing his signature: a cinematic instinct applied wherever the work demands it.
